The end of Quarter 1 is quickly approaching – the last day is today – Friday, November 13. Some students may be in the position of requiring a little extra time to complete assignments that are necessary to demonstrate that they have met the expectations of their course(s). We have set aside Monday, November 16, as an “I” Day – a course completion day – for these students. Classes will not be in session on this day, and Quarter 2 will begin on Tuesday, November 17.
If students need to complete assignments or tests to raise their marks to passing levels, they should attend school on course completion day to receive extra support in an effort to complete the course. CEA’s will be at school that day to help provide support.
Teachers will be communicating with both parents and students if students are required to be at school.
If students are not required to be at school but would still like to attend, they may come to school that day. Families should be aware that there will be no classes in session, and if students do choose to come to school, they should bring a book to read or something to work on. There will not be any instruction of new material or specific activities planned for students who have already completed their coursework. This day is intended to provide extra support to students who need to complete the course.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the school or your child’s teachers.
