Thursday, April 20, 2023 (B&A) = Shuswap Music Festival! – Senior Concert Band performs (all afternoon) in Salmon Arm. The band will perform, watch another school perform and be adjudicated. This performance will be open to the public for those who can attend!
Saturday, April 29th, 2023 = Askew’s BBQ Fundraiser! – Small Ensemble? TBA!
Askews in Armstrong has generously offered us a space and FREE Hot Dog supplies to help us Fundraise for our Victoria Trip. Student and Parent Volunteers would be much appreciated for this date! The time starts at 10am and would go until ALL the supplies are sold! More info to come via email as we approach this date! I will inquire with individuals as to who will/can play on this date!
May 11 à 14, 2023 = Senior Band Trip to Victoria – All the details will be emailed to parents and handed out to the students by “Hard Copies”.
Monday, May 29, 2023 = Concert in the Park – All Ensembles will perform in a Year-End Concert/Performance at the Gazebo in Armstrong’s Memorial Park! This performance is open to the whole community! We will need parent volunteers (with LARGE trucks) to help load gear from PVSS to the park… and of course bring ALL the gear back to school after the performance!
MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP & BAND TRIP DONATIONS
Every year our Music Department relies on fundraising events that helps immensely with funding our program and trips. This year we will be doing various fundraisers throughout 2022 & 2023. Upcoming ways to support the music department are;
- Fill the TUBA! At this year’s Winter Concert there will be two students walking around to collect your generous cash donations. This is part 1 of our contribution to the Music Scholarship.
- Fill up your gas tank at the CO-OP and support the Music Department! Every time you make a purchase at the Armstrong Co-Op, you can contribute to the Music Program by donating your points using 7231.
