Dear Students, Parents and Families;

We are honoured to be part of such a wonderful school. PVSS is a grade 9 to 12 secondary school serving the communities of Armstrong, Spallumcheen, and Falkland. Our Mission Statement at Pleasant Valley Secondary is: “Together we aspire to provide a safe learning environment which fosters the development of self-esteem, social responsibility, intellectual growth and lifelong learning.”  To achieve this, our passionate and talented staff work tirelessly to provide a high-quality educational program for the young adults in our catchment, with flexibility and choice.

Secondary School is the time to get involved and discover passions. It is our hope that every student finds time to get involved in some of the many activities PVSS has to offer; leadership, sport teams, clubs, band, theater, intramural sports, and career programs are few of the possibilities.

Pleasant Valley Secondary School has a long tradition of excellence, which is most obvious in some of our programs – Academics, Fine Arts, Sports, Applied Design and Skills Technologies, and Hairstyling, just to name a few. Our Adrenaline Dance team has won multiple competitions provincially and nationally, and our athletes frequently go to Provincials.

PVSS is a special learning community to be a part of. Many of our staff members are actually graduates of Pleasant Valley Secondary, and have chosen to remain here for their careers, and to also send their children here.  The school and students receive a tremendous amount of support from our communities, local businesses, and families and we are committed to giving back to community as part of our learning.
